Saleana Saturdays #2: Books, Music, Movies and other fun stuff.

Morning beautiful people! How are you all today?

I'm in work, and it's slow so I thought I'd be able to make another Saleana Saturday post. I know, it's been a while. This one is going to be a little more personal. I'm going to show you what I'm reading, listening to, and what I'm up to in general.

So, what have you guys been reading? I've been reading a lot of Pagan books lately, as I'm trying to expand my spirituality. Thus far I'm making my way through these.

The Real Witches' Coven: The Definitive Guide to Forming Your Own Wiccan Group
Great book so far on how to create a coven, or keep the coven you're in running smoothly. Lot's of good advice and some sound tips.

Enchantment of the Faerie Realm by Ted Andrews
So far, so good. Lots of tips, some exercises and questions to get you thinking about the Fae and their realm. If you like faeries and other beings of that nature then I recommend this.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)
I know. I know I'm so, so, so behind the trend right now. I tried to read this when I was 12 and it didn't appeal to me, but I'm giving it another go, and I'm loving it. Very good writing from J.K. Rowling, not that you needed me to tell you that.

As for music I've been bouncing around with different things. But, below are some of the tunes that are getting me through the days.

Adrian von Ziegler
The Celtic Collection
Listen HERE

The Morpheus Character playlist by A.G. Howard

Movies!! I don't really have new movies that I can show you guys since I play the same move on repeat, but I figured I'd share anyway.

My favorite movie ever.

So, what are you guys up to? I'd love to see what you're reading, watching, listening to! I'd love recommendations from you guys as well! Tell me in the comments!

Also, I just created a survey for you guys to take. You don't have to leave your name or email - making it anonymous. If you have hard core complaints or some "tough love" type advice, this is the survey for you to take. I promise you won't hurt my feelings, I just want to get this up and going again.

Saleana's Saturdays #2: Launching the TBR Project

Hey everyone,

If you've been paying attention to my other tabs at all you may have noticed that I'm not accepting anymore books at the moment to review. This is because of a lack of time to read the books that I've been offered compared to the books I've purchased and downloaded onto my Kindle app.

With that being said I have a TON of books that I want to get to, but haven't read because I was bombarded with review requests and sometimes I just don't know how to say "no."

I want this review site to be fun for me and for you readers and I really wanted this site to be about the books I'd honestly read and review, not things that I've been scouted out to review even though that's really fun for me and it's so awesome to have people want to read and review their hard work.

I'm honored at all the requests I've gotten.

In any case I've decided to give myself a little goal/project which I "creatively" named "The TBR Project." I'm going to go through all the books, or at least a good chunk of them before I accept any more books to review because other than that I'm going to go insane. I don't want to be insane.

So - onward with the TBR Project. I think it'd be super awesome if you guys joined me. Let's get through those books that we've been putting off and let's clear up some space on the iPads and kindles and nooks and things.

Saleana's Saturdays 1: Book Expo of America

Hi guys! This is my first "Saleana's Saturdays" post. Every Saturday I'm going to *try* to write up a post that's just me talking to you, getting friendly. I figured that some of you might want to know more about me, what I'm up to and what I'm reading, and why I started this review site.

Well, I started because I wanted to be able to share whatever I read with you. A lot of the review sites that I read or have worked with have restrictions on them. Many are family friendly - which is great - but sometimes I don't read family friendly literature. I know many people like to read things that don't fall into the family friendly category and that's cool; people should read whatever floats their boat. So, I decided that if I wanted to read and review an erotic novel, then I should be able to.
I also wanted to have the freedom to write posts like this. Since this is my site, I can write posts that are just me talking to you. It doesn't have to have a specific format, I don't have to get the approval of anyone or fill out a bunch of forms in order to write a post, and I love that.

Anyway, you may have seen that the logo at the top is for the Book Expo of America and that's the title of this post as well. As you may have guessed...I'm going to BEA! YAY! I'm really ridiculously excited about going, it's going to be my first time and I'm sure I'm going to have a blast.

Have you gone? What's it like? Any tips that you have for me? I heard that bringing a rolling suitcase is a lot easier than bringing a backpack. True or false? I'd love to have any input that you guys have for me. I'm already trying to pick out my most comfy pair of shoes for the day since I'm sure there will be lots of walking involved.

Besides for preparing for BEA I'm trying to put together another giveaway. I'm constantly trying to have something going on so you guys are rewarded for putting up with me. ;)

So, tell me in the comments: do you like these more personal posts or would you rather just see all reviews and book related things?
