This book is amazingly handy - perfect for those who have already begun to practice with Hekate, and for those who are new to Her. The course, as the author refers to it, is well researched, laid out nicely and in a way that makes sense and gives a lot of background as well as hands-on work to do, which I think is the best way to start a new spiritual journey, to get right into it and make some mistakes, create lots of questions for yourself and also get some field work in. Messy hands-on experience is always best over reading a million books, and yet, this guide/course helps to do just that - create a relationship instead of having you just read about one. There are plenty of ideas for those who are new to Hekate on how to get started and keep a solid practice throughout the entire book/course. Be advised that it's very hands-on, and you'll be doing a lot of work! 5 Triquetras! I was given a copy of this book from Moon Books in exchange for an honest review!

Another review for you! This one was not my most favorite book, which is why we have 2 Triquetras. The cover is beautifully done, which is what drew me in for this one.

I am an Irish Polytheist, not a Welsh-based practitioner, so maybe the story wasn't as poignant for me, but I feel that this book was stretched out a bit too much. I hate to say it, but it seemed a little redundant, and that the same points were being made over and over.

I thought that, from the Goodreads blurb, that we were going to have a deeper understanding of the story, not a rehashing of it three times over. The first part focuses on "a general overview and introduction to the tale and its history." Then we have a retelling of the tale, both traditional AND modern. We go over the landscape of the myth, a bit of historical background and some exercises.

I'm not sure if it's just me but the exercises didn't do too much for me. Again, I think it may be because I'm not too invested in Welsh mythology.

Either way, I'm glad I gave this one a go - if you're a Welsh Pagan, what do you think of diving very deep into mythology? A good thing to look at, or just beating a dead horse, so to speak?

I knew from the moment I started reading this book that it was going to be something that I needed to hear, something that was going to awaken and empower me.

For those of you that don't know, when I'm not reading books and reviewing them, I'm a life coach, an ordained minister, a Reiki master in training, a witch, tarot reader, etc. Spirituality is my life, I live and breathe this stuff.

I am also a women's circle facilitator. I have dedicated myself to empowering women in the name of sisterhood, and this book not only is helping me spiritually but also professionally. The call, right in the foreword, written by Sistership Circle Founder, Tanya Lynn got me.

I mean COME ON! Isn't that just amazing? I don't know about you, but this is something that I've been craving - connection, sisterhood, feminine leadership. I already follow Tanya Lynn and Sistership Circle, so having her input right in the beginning told me that I was going to be in for an amazing treat with this book.

The exercises, from what I can see are awesome. We have some meditation and mantras - the first two are on raising your vibration, and the second one has us busting out the journals and pens. I do love a good journaling session!

I devoured this book in one night, and while the exercises will be something to work through I am so glad I've gotten a heads up on all the wonderful things to come. All women should read this book - time to rise up!
