Review: Witchy Crafts: 60 Enchanted Projects for the Creative Witch

Witchy Crafts: 60 Enchanted Projects for the Creative Witch
Witchy Crafts: 60 Enchanted Projects for the Creative Witch by Lexa Olick

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thanks to Llewellyn and Netgalley for letting me read this early!

This was the first time I've read a Wiccan/Pagan crafting book and I'm really pleased with this one! The book is divided into 2 parts. The first part goes over materials and when to craft certain items in correspondence with the months. The second part to the book has the 60 projects and the last chapter is about fixing mistakes.

I haven't gotten a chance to craft anything yet, but after reading the book over and looking at all the projects I know that I'll definitely be able to use a few of them. Some items are fundamental, such a a wand, or spoon, and most people already have them, but if you're just starting out with The Craft then those projects will be very helpful to you. On the other hand if you've always wanted to make your own magickal tools, but never knew where to start, then this book will be good for you as well.

None of the projects seems overly complicated, but some will require you to go out and collect materials/ buy them. None seem that they would be too expensive and I suggest thrifting to find some of them.

Lexa Olick makes this book really fun, and easy to create things for your Witchy home!

Review: All the Broken Pieces

All the Broken Pieces
All the Broken Pieces by Cindi Madsen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stayed up all night to read this baby! It's one of those that you can't put down when you start it.

Really awesome plot, perfect in time for Halloween! We meet Olivia, aka Liv, as she's coming out of a coma of sorts, from being in a horrible accident. As a result of the accident she doesn't remember anything from her past. Nothing comes back to her, not how to ride a bike, or whether or not she can swim, or if she's ever been to a movie.

Her parents start to act weird and Liv wants to get to the bottom of all the secrets. Enter Spencer, the mysterious boy that Liv can't stop thinking about. As their friendship deepens, so do the lies and secrets from Liv's parents.

Some things, however, are better left unknown.

Great read by Cindi Madsen! Can't wait for this to be out so I can buy a copy to share!

I think I've found the book that is going to pull me out of my reading slump! Read this beauty in a day and I can't wait for the second in the series. Pulled me in right from the start, I fell in love with the Cahill sisters, and Finn, and even Paul. All are carving their ways into my heart!

Oh my goodness this book! I can't believe what went on in here and I can't believe I have to wait until 2013 for the next book! I'm going insane, the sneak peek at the back completely reeled me in!

I hope that this book is expected in early 2013 or I might die.

This book was amazing in every way. The plot moved alone nicely, with some fillers but it's to be expected. I was hoping that things would progress a bit differently, but I truly can't complain with the way things have worked out thus far.
